Whether you fancy the Disney princesses or want to visit with Mickey Mouse and his pals, there is an ideal character meal just for you at Walt Disney World. Disney World Character Meals at Magic Kingdom Restaurants
The Magic Kingdom and the surrounding resort area have character dining experiences which are terrific opportunities to meet Disney characters. Cinderella‘s Royal Table is excellent for meeting many of the princesses. The Crystal Palace in the central plaza is a buffet that includes meet-and-greets with the characters from Winnie the Pooh.
Outside the Magic Kingdom, 1900 Park Fare offers two different kinds of Character Meals. Breakfast includes Mary Poppins, Alice, Mad Hatter, Pooh, and Tigger. Dinner includes Cinderella, the Prince, the Lady Tremaine, the Fairy Godmother, and stepsisters. during the afternoon there is also an unbirthday party for kids with Alice and the Mad Hatter. There is Perfectly Princess Tea as well featuring Princess Aurora that is perfect for special occasions. Chef Mickey’s is an all-day character buffet at the Contemporary Resort, near the Magic Kingdom. Meet Lilo and Stitch at Ohana in Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. At Wilderness Lodge, indulge in a storybook dinner with Snow White, Dopey and the queen.
Disney World Character Meals at Epcot Area Restaurants
Meet the Disney princesses at Akershus for character dining, or meet Mickey and friends at Garden Grill in the Land pavilion. Akershus is a Norwegian American mix of food that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The experience is very similar to Cinderella’s Royal table as it feels like dining inside a castle and the characters are Disney princesses. Although it is in Norway, don’t expect to see Anna or Elsa in the restaurant. They are exclusively in their vacation home on the other end of the pavilion.
In addition, The Garden Grill, in The Land pavilion, hosts a yummy breakfast with Chip ‘n’ Dale and their Disney pals as you dig into family-style dining and revolve around vibrant views from Living with the Land.
Outside the park, Cape May offers a character buffet and Trattoria al Forno offers a Bon Voyage Breakfast with Ariel and Rapunzel. The Cape May Cafe character breakfast buffet at the Beach Club resort features Minnie Mouse and her pals. across Crescent Lake at the Boardwalk Inn the Bon Voyage Breakfast includes a menu inspired by Tangled and The Little Mermaid. Prince Eric and Flynn Rider join the princesses in meeting with guests and partaking in magical moments of song and dance.
Disney World Character Meals at Hollywood Studios
Character dining has a seasonal change at Hollywood and Vine as the cast of characters shifts from Disney Junior to Minnie Mouse and friends during the holidays. The changeover occurs in June and January. Hollywood and Vine serves up a buffet style menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. one of the benefits of choosing this character dining location is that you can purchase a dining package that includes preferred seating for Fantasmic! the nighttime spectacular.
Disney World Character Meals at Animal Kingdom
At every Disney park, there is at least one restaurant for character meals. There is usually a character meal option at the Deluxe resorts as well, although not all of them do. Animal Kingdom Lodge is well known for amazing dining experiences. However, it’s reputation is due to the food and scenery and not for characters. It is, unfortunately one of the deluxe hotels along with the Yacht Club that does not yet offer character meals. For the Animal Kingdom area of Walt Disney World, you have to go inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom park.
Tusker House in Disney’s Animal Kingdom is a character buffet that features a family friendly mix of exotic and familiar foods so everybody can eat comfortably and enjoy their meal. Donald Duck is the star here and he is joined by Goofy, Mickey, Minnie, and Daisy. One of the unique aspects of this restaurant’s character experience is that the characters are all dressed in safari clothes. Character costumes change depending on what restaurant you go to, At Garden Grill, the characters are farmers, and at Chef Mickey’s they all wear aprons.

One that is not mentioned which is one of our favorites for years is in Epcot is garden Grill which offers Mickey, Pluto and Chip and Dale. The food is great and offered family-style, and your family gets a one on one experience with the characters that are not rushed.
