Walt Disney World has a reputation for being expensive, but that’s only because there is so much to do it is difficult to stay confined to a budget. Difficult, but not impossible. If you can save on where you stay, your trip expenses become dramatically smaller than you would expect. People try to save money on everything from food to parking. It’s true that those things add up, but a single night at a Disney World off-property hotel can save a lot of money.
Now, everybody has their own way of vacationing at Walt Disney World. Those plans have a way of evolving over time. Walt Disney World veterans may tell you the only way to do Walt Disney World is at such and such resort. You will very likely have a similar experience and come to form your own opinions. However, if you have never been, or if you are particularly low on funds, I would suggest staying at a Walt Disney World hotel that is not owned or operated by Disney.
These lower-cost options are on Walt Disney World property, but cost much less than what the average guest at a Disney owned resort is going to pay. They still include shuttle service to the parks and you still never have to leave Walt Disney World, although it’s more convenient to do so if you want to.
Of all of the potential Disney World budget-friendly hotels, these are our top five choices based on price and quality of experience. They all include official Disney resort perks such as 60 day Fastpass Plus selections and Extra Magic Hours.
B Resort and Spa

This luxury hotel with official Disney World benefits offers a variety of discounts including military, AAA AARP and more. They also offer a $1 BDay Stay. The hotel is located at Lake Buena Vista in the Disney Springs area of Walt Disney World. The cost can be less than a Disney value resort and includes better on-site dining options.
Wyndham Garden
This is another Lake Buena Vista Hotel. This Disney Springs area is flush with great hotel options that are often cheaper than Disney resorts. Wyndham Garden is family-friendly and includes lush Disney-themed landscaping as well as a Mickey-shaped pool. This hotel has a variety of dining options including a Character Breakfast on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Best Western Lake Buena Vista
Best Western offers rates as low as $102 and a free hot breakfast buffet is included. The hotel is clean and comfortable with plenty of amenities on top of the perks that come with staying at an official Walt Disney World hotel. The TripAdvisor rating (official Walt Disney World review site) for this hotel is 4.5/5 across the board for all categories.
Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace
Chances are you never thought of the Hilton as a budget hotel, but at Walt Disney World anything is possible. You save a lot of money just by staying at a hotel that does not have the Disney name attached. As with the other on-property hotels, this Hilton includes Walt Disney World parks and at a fraction of the cost. You can enjoy the luxury of Disney’s pricier hotels for a price comparable to a value, or moderate resort, depending on the time of travel and special rates. This hotel books up quickly though, so plan in advance.
Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek

Another Hilton near the Lake Buena Vista area is at Bonnet Creek. This hotel has rates starting under $100, and a far better deal than Disney’s comparably priced resort hotels. This hotel is also an official Walt Disney World Resort. Guests can now enjoy Disney’s FastPass+ service 60 days before arrival and Disney’s Extra Magic Hours benefit.
