It doesn’t matter what your idea of a perfect Disney World vacation is. The important thing is that you plan it well and that you know what you want. There are some key elements to planning any Walt Disney World vacation that will ensure that the trip is perfect for you. Follow these tips to help you plan the perfect Disney World vacation of your dreams.
Book a Resort that Best Suits Your Plans
Everybody has a different idea of what the best Disney resort is. All of them are ideally suited to somebody’s plans. Whether it’s budget or theme, there is a specific resort that speaks to you. many of them have Disney Vacation Club which means many people make these resorts a home away from home. Those aren’t the only things to consider though when booking a resort. location is key. Most people want to be close to the parks. Hence the higher nightly cost.
However, you may value a stay in a more secluded resort. consider whether you will be using the on-site amenities or not and which resorts have the restaurants you most want to experience. Sometimes it’s fun to resort hop for dinner, or lunch, but you might appreciate the convenience of a resort that already has all of the restaurants you are interested in. For that matter, you might choose a Disney Springs area resort, just a boat ride away from all the dining, shopping, and entertainment.
Stay for This Many Days
There is no perfect length of stay that everybody follows. However, personally, I find 7-10 days to be ideal. This allows you to revisit a couple of parks and take a couple of days off from the parks to do other things. On the other hand, you can squeeze a whole lot of fun into just three days and see all four parks with the park hopper option. Four days gets you all four parks with no break. Five days will give you a break, which is probably necessary. Six days or more and you can start revisiting your favorite parks or pick up some recreational activities around the resorts. It all depends on how you budget your time and money. You won’t run out of things to do at Disney World, but that doesn’t mean a short trip can’t be the perfect Disney World vacation.
Scour the Menus
When it comes to dining, the more you know the better. Luckily Disney posts all of their menus on the official Walt Disney World website. You can see all of the restaurants and even change your search criteria. The more you know about what’s available, the better informed your decisions will be. Even if you don’t make reservations six months in advance, your knowledge of available quick-service restaurants will pay off in a pinch.
Book a Guided Tour
Guided tours are not always super expensive. There are plenty of different tours appropriate for different age levels. These tours are a really great way to enhance your vacation with a unique experience. Some tours give you access to rides without waiting in line, while others take you backstage and behind the scenes. It’s a terrific way to get more out of your time in the parks and gain new insights into the magic of Disney.
Know Your Limits
No matter how long your perfect Disney World vacation lasts, or how much you hope to do, the key to having the best time is to manage your expectations and above all, know your limits. Don’t sign on for more than you can do. That’s a recipe for disaster. plan your days realistically and give yourself plenty of flexibility so you don’t have to crunch to get everything done.
