An Insider Guide to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
The Christmas season has finally begun! While there are so many reasons to love the holidays, one of my favorites is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Disney World! If you are on the fence about going, here is an insider’s guide to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party about what it’s actually like to attend!
Meet with your favorite characters At Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party
There are a ton of opportunities to meet your favorite characters at this party! Many of them will be dressed in holiday attire, such as Jack Skellington and even Mickey himself! There are a lot of party-exclusive characters here that you won’t be able to find in the rest of the park.
Here are some of the characters you can have the opportunity to meet:
- Jack Skellington (dressed as Sandy Claws) and Sally
- The Seven Dwarfs
- The Fab Five (dressed in holiday attire)
- Moana
- Peter Pan
- The Country Bears from Country Bear Jamboree
- Santa Claus
- Mary Poppins and Bert
- Aladdin, Abu, Jasmine, Genie
- Captain Jack Sparrow
- Belle
- Pooh and Friends
- Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps
- And so many more!
Mickey’s Most Merriest Holiday Show
If Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party were a concert, this show would be the headliner! This is a live stage show that takes place four times throughout the night right there in front of the castle. This show brings Mickey himself and his pals as they come together for a holiday celebration! The castle changes into a beautiful Christmas backdrop as projections and music fill the air from your favorite Disney characters.
Mickey’s Once Upon a Time Christmas Parade
This is a parade you don’t want to miss! It happens twice, starting in Frontierland at night. This parade has all of your favorite Disney characters dressed in holiday outfits with a whole bunch of Christmas friends! If you want to see the parade, I recommend going to the 11 pm showing. The crowds will be lighter, and you can get a great view of the parade!
Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Firework Show
I’m not going to go into too much detail about the show itself, but for those wondering at home, it starts at 10 pm. I’m here to tell you about where to get the best seats! There are two options depending on what you’re looking to do after the fireworks. If you want to leave after the fireworks, head to the far end of Main Street. The view won’t be as great, but you’ll be able to get out of the park a lot faster. You can also see the fireworks from the lake outside of the Magic Kingdom as well. For the best view, you will want to be smack dab in the middle of the park by the castle if you want the best view of the fireworks.
It’s All About The Snacks!
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has several party-exclusive snack options, including The Carved Turkey Sandwich, Christmas Cookie Milkshake, Holiday Mickey Cinnamon Rolls, Olaf’s Frozen Hot Chocolate Cakes, Snowflake Brownies and so many more! You can also find a few complimentary snack options, as well! These include Snickerdoodle Cookies, Hot Chocolate, Snowman Pretzels, Peppermint Cookies, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Ginger Molasses Cookies, Apple Cider, Fanta, and Eggnog at select dining locations throughout the park.
While I highly recommend everyone to attend at least one of the special parties hosted during the holidays, this might not be right for everyone. I hope that this post has helped you determine whether or not this party will be a good bang for your buck!
